Euphorbias, Milkwood, coral trees, date palms, tar wood, chestnut, yellow wood, acacias and wild fig trees etc. as well as cycads and a large variety of Eastern Cape herbs, aloes and wild flowers are in abundance – therefore aptly named by environmentalists as “East of Eden.” Mountains and gorges with very beautiful views which can be accessed through a network of roads that spread across the farm. 

Main house: Spacious 4 Bedroom house. Fully renovated; new floor tiles, kitchen and bathrooms. Open plan living area and kitchen, built-in braai. House with veranda on all sides (500m²). House size ; without garage (247m²) 2 bathrooms (complete with shower, bath, toilet and basin) one of which is en-suite to the main bedroom. Rainfall: A remarkable feature of thicket’s mammal fauna is that such an extraordinary high diversity of species and animal bulk can be supported at the fairly low rainfall average of ±550mm/year. Winters are very mild (coastal climate) with little to no frost. Summers are mild, but hot during January to February.

Warthog: Bush pig; Common Blesbok; Blesbok White; Blesbok Saddleback; Blesbok Split and Yellow; Plain Impala; Black Impala; White flank Impala; Bushbuck; Nyala; Kudu; Waterbuck; Blue Wildebeest; Golden Blue Wildebeest; Red Hartebeest; Zebra; Mountain Zebra; Giraffe; Eland; Ostrich; Springbuck; Grey Duiker; Blue Duiker; Mountain Rhebok; Reedbuck; Oribi; Sable; Tsessebe; Buffalo.

A very rich bird fauna as well as a wide range of reptiles, amphibians, insects, rodents’, primates and cat species (including leopard) are indigenous to the area.
